I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting help with losing weight. I too tried many diets over the years, just to put the weight back on soon after stopping. I even went through weight loss surgery thinking that was the miracle I needed and I couldn’t fail. I failed!! I had a hard time trying to figure out what went wrong and after reading this book, I realized that I was going about losing weight the wrong way. Until I understood that, nothing was going to work. In addition to reading this book, I have had several sessions with Kristin Volk Funk and it has been 100% effective in helping me to eat better and to lose weight. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to work with her and would encourage anyone to read her book or meet with her in person. I am very happy with my results.

Weight Rescue – Thinking Thin…

It began more than ten years ago when my weight was screaming out of control. From 120 lbs to 160 lbs – results from battles with health monsters. Monsters had been fought off, but weight hung on. Into the picture the seminar with Kristin Volk-Funk and weight rescue. Before her book, Kristin held a seminar in my neighborhood on “Cracking the Code to Metabolism and Weight Loss” and I signed on. Ever since attending I have been able to incorporate the tools that Kristin Volk-Funk used then, and has added to in her new book “As Thin As You Think”. I especially learned from her book how to stop seeing food and using food as entertainment. While we all enjoy holiday meals and planning, we can fall into a pattern – it is in “As Thin as You Think” that Kristin outlines exactly how you can think your way out of those habits and into rescue. I maintain a healthy weight and enjoy exercising more than three times a week. The way I approach these is with the enthusiasm that Kristin’s positive views and language has given me. I continue to attend Kristin’s seminars when she comes to my town and I highly recommend her book. It’s a weight rescue.

Self-hypnosis? Isn’t that a little woo-woo?

Wonder what a book on weight loss written by a hypnotherapist could do for you? Is it really self-hypnosis that brings about the changes in one’s weight? Could I really do it, and would it feel weird? I’m used to counting calories and exercising more, staying in “my program”, falling off, and getting back on. How could your thinking make your body thinner? Well, the answer is in the results, and Kristin Volk Funk is masterful at results. It’s not magic, but it is magical, the way Kristin’s book helped me to see that unconscious thinking was at the root of my weight and body image yo-yo. I now marvel when I stand on the scale month after month, not feeling deprived, and seeing the same low number near my feet (which are clearly visible without the old tummy.) Only buy this book if you truly want to stop the weight loss cycle.

Awesome Book

This book is wonderful. Weight loss begins with your mindset (who knew?) and you have to be ready in your mind to lose the weight. This book setups it up perfectly for you to work on what you are saying to yourself, about feeling guilty and let’s you know that you are not alone. Kristin struggled with the same issues that I am struggling with. This is a must for anybody who wants to lose weight and not just cut back on calories (as so many weight loss programs are only about cutting calories and thats all). It is a must for somebody who wants to know why you gained the weight in the first place and how your mind plays the most inportant role in your weight loss. It works, I am down 4.5 lbs the first week! I have my co-workers using the book also with great success. I am finally on the path the to permanent weight loss for the rest of my life and it feels wonderful! Thank you Kristin 🙂

This book has worked for me.

This book has really worked for me and I continue to refer back to it, for it’s wisdom. You will find no magic foods or diets, only tools and training to achieve weight loss success. It took a couple of readings before I could open up and write down my feelings. Kristen gently leads you to deal with the reasons you overeat. I have lost 100 lbs and continue to keep it off with exercise and the tools in “As Thin as You Think”.
